This summer, our DTC families met twice at local playgrounds in Colchester for joyful afternoon gatherings.

We enjoyed a picnic generously donated by Neighbourly Food Collection, and we are truly grateful for their support.

The children were delightfully cheeky, some made a proper dent in the crisps, clearly hoping the bag was bottomless, though to be fair they also munched plenty of fruit.

They ran, climbed, kicked a ball, and had a go with the wooden ring toss despite the wind. Our team even had fun making giant bubbles that floated across the park.

Getting outside to play and learn brings so many benefits for children’s bodies, minds and friendships. For those with sensory sensitivities, outdoor spaces invite them to explore with all their senses. These moments offer special chances for discovery, connection and learning in ways that truly meet their needs.

A big thank you to all the parents who brought their children, and to our amazing team with special appreciation for Aneliya, our dedicated administrative assistant.
